All holsters will wear a firearms finish at some point, regardless of it being kydex, leather, nylon, or even a hybrid style holster. A properly built kudex holster will not wear out a firearms finish, with proper cleaning and care, any faster than the the others. Keeping stuff like dirty and dust out of the holster will keep this from happening as fast. Which keep be done simply by rinsing it out in the sink.
