An Interview with Thomas Tower: Owner of Grey Man Solutions --- What gave you the idea to start Grey Man Solutions? Well, that is a funny story, actually. I was going in for a job interview. I had my gun in a $150.00, high-quality holster. When I sat down across from the interviewer, the gun somehow came loose.

Leather vs. Kydex — it’s been a point of contention among shooters since the first days of the Kydex holster in the 1970s, but Let’s just say they’re both pretty awesome and both have a place, however! We should not give Leather holsters a pass that easily. Though both options definitely have their strong points, the cons on the firearm. Kydex is a line of thermoplastic acrylic-polyvinyl chloride materials. It has a wide variety of applications, including for aircraft bulkhead (partition)s, firearm holsters, sheaths, and for knives. Kydex sheet was originally produced in 1965 by Rohm and Haas, having been designed for use in aircraft interiors. While today it is standard for use in holsters proving to be a solid and rugged alternative to leather.
